History
Alternate Heating Systems is a family-owned manufacturer of high-quality alternative-fuel heating equipment based in Harrisonville, Pennsylvania. For more than three decades, we have been dedicated to designing and building reliable heating systems that give homeowners and businesses greater energy independence and lower heating costs.
Our story began in 1998 when Jeff and Phyllis Gingerich purchased the company and converted their dairy barn into a manufacturing facility in south-central Pennsylvania. What started as a small operation has grown into a trusted manufacturer serving customers across the United States, Canada, and internationally. Today, their two sons work alongside them, continuing the family tradition of craftsmanship, innovation, and service.
From the beginning, our goal has been simple: build heating systems that are dependable, efficient, and built to last. Every system we produce is designed to meet real-world heating needs—whether it’s a small unit for a home or a high-capacity boiler for large commercial buildings.
